Volunteer Opportunities - 2016

There is something for everyone & every interest!
Docents - act as tour guides to visiting groups, help with major exhibits, assist demonstrators, help with children's programs

Demonstrators - share your craft skills with visitors - soap making, laundry, broom making, blacksmith, quilting, spinner/weaver, basket maker, bobbin lace, glass blower, candle maker, chair caning, and more

Animal Caretaker - help feed, groom and care for the Farm's livestock - Percheron draft horses, Scottish Highland Cattle, chickens

Research Aide - work on preservation of county history, research old newspapers, scan photographs, interview older residents, photograph tombstones, old buildings and schools - computer skills helpful but not required

Gardeners - sow seeds in the greenhouse in late winter, transplant to the gardens in spring, care for the gardens and enjoy in the harvest
Work at just one event, or volunteer for your favorite job on a regular basis. For more information CONTACT us. There are no age guidelines except that children cannot work with the larger animals.
